About

Nothing is ever really thrown away, just put into a new context. I make sculptures out of found objects. My pieces are a mad scientist experiment, a result of thoughts I have in the middle of the night questioning the possibilities of what could be if these materials were combined to make something new. If I can give “trash” new life, then digging through the dumpsters is worth it.

I make oil paintings with bright colors that contrast their slightly disturbing style and subject matter. They begin with a memory that I want to capture or intuitive drawing with oil sticks that turn into figures or creatures of some kind. These paintings reflect my inner world of emotion, and urge you to look for the misfits within yourself. I hope through these paintings you enter a space of playfulness, curiosity, and discomfort. Once you're there, I invite you to stay a while.
